1. Never skip meals. Whenever you do a sudden stop in eating, your body would react to it in such a way that it will slow down its metabolic rate. It is far better to eat 4 times a day at regular intervals.

 

2. Eat more proteins. Diet studies show that protein intake stabilizes the amount of insulin in the bloodstream. It is highly-beneficial for you.

 

3. Get a good nights sleep. Studies have shown that people who just have 4 hours of sleep at night have slower metabolism than those who have 8-hour sleep. You should have enough sleep for you to feel revived when you wake up.

 

4. Do some form of exercise in the evenings to produce a sweat. Our metabolism tends to slow down during the late afternoon or at the end of the day. You will burn more calories if you go for an evening walk or any other form of exercise that will allow you to sweat it out and burn calories.
